Finding My Friends - Lindi's Point of View

Starring Ty's Witchie, Lindi, and Swoops

This is Lindi's story of Seventh grade from her point of view.

Introduction to Lindi Cat:
Lindi is new in town. The kitten really wants to be a dancer. She would also love to have some friends. Everyone tells her that being a dancer is too hard, and she almost believes them.

In order from left to right it is Lindi, Swoops, and Witchie!

Part One

I walked slowly to school. I didn't really want to go, being lonely and all, and it didn't help that it was the first day of school. While the other kids talked or played basketball, I sat in the grass. I checked my schedule and locker number: 123. When the bell rung, I hurried in with all the other kids, stopping at the locker. I didn't have anything but some paper and pencils in my bag, and also a empty binder, so I quickly skipped past it.
When I made it to my homeroom, I waited outside the door with some other kids for the teacher. When the teacher came in, he said, "Hello, class. Come in and choose any seat you want." I chose one in the middle by a window, opposite of the door. Kids filed in, but no one wanted the seat next to me. I looked at my desk. A quiet murmur went up in the class a a pretty black cat came in with a witch hat.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" she asked.
    "Not at all," I said.
"I'm Witchie. I don't fit in here at all," said the other cat, Witchie.
"I'm Lindi. Nice to meet you," I said.
The teacher clapped twice. "Class, I am Mr. Locke. Let me tell you some of my rules," he said. Then he did tell us about the rules. Then we had to fill out an All About Me paper and color it. Apparently homeroom is the first hour of everyday.
When the bell rung, we all went to our next class. A bat flew over to Witchie. "Hey, Witchie!" she said.
"Hiya, Swoops! I'd like you to meet Lindi," said Witchie. Me? I thought.
"Pleasure to meet you! I'm Swoops. I hope to see you at lunch!" said Swoops.
"I'll be there, if I can find you, if you don't mind," I said.
"Don't mind at all!" said Witchie and Swoops as the flew away. I took my backpack to my locker, to empty out the two textbooks I got and headed to my other classes.

Part Two

At lunch I somehow find them, and sit with them. Swoops says she wants to enter the Bat Race this year at school. Witchie is studying to go to Good Witches' High School for Cats. I tell them I want to be a dancer.
"You totally should!" Witchie said as we walked to our lockers.
"I'll sure try," I replied.

Part Three

It has been a year of us being friends. They helped me find a dancing school. Swoops made it (and won) the Bat Race. Witchie is still studying for her school. People still make fun of Witchie at school, and sometimes me, but we ignore them. In middle school, one piece of advice I can give you is to choose your friends wisely. I choose these ones, and this is the right choice for me!
